I figured since Veterans Day and Memorial Day were such similar holidays that I'd re-release these two little gems. Yojne, muthafackos!Happy Monday, my muthafuckin' gorgeous perverts out there in Pervtopia. It's Memorial Day and this is the 1st part of the 2 part Memorial Day Edition of Monday Morning Aural Sex. Mind you, I would've said "Happy Memorial Day," but... um... hello? No. I mean, if you can manage to have a happy day in spite of full knowledge of what this holiday actually represents, then congratulations. I imagine that most people don't even bother to think about it, though. Far too depressing a topic, especially if you have a day off from work like I do, right? Right. Pathetic, if you ask me, but nobody's askin' me except me. It's all good, though. I keep asking myself questions and keep finding answers and expressing that shit through mediums like these. You oughta give that a try sometime. So yeah, Memorial Day. A day that commemorates (or at least, it's supposed to) commemorates the massive losses of life of men and women who've died in service to this country.I, however, would like to expand the holiday's commemoration to include loss of human life everywhere, not just American life. It's really sad that anyone anywhere still feels any need to engage in wars. When you realize that it's all because one side believes differently (or has different ideas) than the other side, you start wondering why the fuck people can't just sit down and chat in an effort to reach some sort of understanding. What I think is that when these world leaders have some stupid fuckin' disagreement, put them in a rowboat in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by a naval blockade, and give 'em two swords. Either they'll talk it out with words, or they'll reach for their swords and fuckin' kill each other. Either way, it's not the fuckin' end of the world. Plenty of different leaders have come and gone and we as people have managed to keep going. I'd even venture to ask why we need leaders at all, but I'm aware of how much people abuse their freedom.I suppose it's just a matter of convenience. Abusing your freedom, sticking your head in the sand, is really easy when you live a comfortable life. But shit's happening every day that involves you whether you realize it or like it or not. Ignorance is a luxury that fewer and fewer people can afford. I suggest you start paying attention before this shit ends up knocking on your front door. But you know, do what you want. Now, I’m not sure what Halloween means to most of you out there, but being who and how I am, I’ve had lots of time to think about what it means to me. If I may share a little anecdote with you, I went to this excruciatingly mediocre Irish pub this past Saturday for a costume contest that my friends Tasha and her boyfriend Dan were pretty much sure to win. Due to work and various other circumstances, I didn’t prepare any sort of costume. So, I just decided to wear what I normally wear to Loop Lounge, which includes a spiked mask that covers the lower half of my face, my 6” platform boots, my Angelic White contacts, my spiked collar and chain leash, and my skeleton gloves. When we arrived and we had a chance to take a look at all the pathetic, festering piles of humanity that were infesting that place, I joked with my friends that if by some odd chance I actually managed to win anything in the contest that I’d give it to them. Lo and behold, as I was walking through the crowd, noticing the deeply disturbed looks various people were giving me, I was tapped on the shoulder and given a piece of paper that entered me in the Scariest tier of the costume contest. We were called up to the stage and one by one, we stood on these little blocks so the crowd could get a good look at us. I stood up and spread my arms for a moment, got a few cheers (not nearly as many as Tasha and Dan), and then I hit myself in the head a few times for dramatic effect and the cheering died down. It was then that a great sense of mischievous joy hit me, being given a real world example reminding me of the difference between scary but socially acceptable, and a type of scary that’s psychologically unsettling.I spent the rest of the night with a mildly psychotic grin on my face, fantasizing about the scene in the Collection where the entire club is massacred. ‘Cause shit, it was better than the other stupid bullshit that was and still is on my mind. Hahahahahaha!!! Welcome motherfuckers and motherfuckerettes to another Monday and another Monday Morning Aural Sex: The Still Glad To Be Single Edition! Obviously, my friends and fellow perverts who are in committed relationships will probably skip this one, but fuck it. I've been single for about a year and a half now, and honestly, I still get giddy about it. Why, you might ask? Well, I'll tell ya. When I'm going about my evenings, enjoying the peace of the night, the lack of people buzzing around, the almost complete silence save for crickets and such, I get giddy knowing that there's nobody around my vicinity to spoil it. There's nobody around to argue with me about anything, nobody around to screech at me about things I'm doing or not doing, nobody around to make me feel like a week-past-flushed turd.
I can listen to whatever music I want, watch whatever movies I want, play whatever video games I want, read whatever books I want, and especially, indulge in any creative projects I want without having to consider anyone else's often narrow-minded opinions. I can drive with the windows down in 40-50 degree weather, feeling the cold wind send chills throughout my body, breathing it in and feeling my lungs contract. Even better, I can run the air conditioner in my room at whatever-the-fuck temperature I want down to 60 degrees with no one to complain and make me feel bad that they're cold. I have no need to consider for a second what anyone else might be thinking about me, whether they're still attracted to me, whether I should be more or less romantic, etc.
I also have no need to worry about growing bored of anyone (and, at the risk of sounding pretentious, I do grow bored of most people), and I can do whatever I want sexually without needing to clear it with anyone or be sneaky about it. I absolutely cherish the clarity of the unchained mind that I only find when I'm single. I absolutely cherish the freedoms I just described. I always have, but yet I've compromised them time and time again for the sake of trying to make committed relationships coincide with the life I enjoy living on my own. I'm not saying the two things are absolutely mutually exclusive, but being single means no compromises. At least, none like you make in relationships.
So yes, I still get giddy about it, because (fortunately or unfortunately) I have a pretty solid memory, and I recall what my life was like when I tried to be someone's boyfriend and/or "husband." I love myself and I love my life, and all that other shit brings far too much chaos into it for me to consider it worthwhile anymore. I could go on and on, and I certainly have over the past year to anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in my vicinity when I went off on my tangents, but we should get to this fucking aural sex already! There's gonna be a lot of harsh and bitter music in this edition, but honestly, I included stuff like that to illustrate some of how I felt in past relationships. The overall tone of this edition, to me anyway, is one of utter joy and inner peace, and those things include maniacal homicidal fantasies, acerbic satire of social norms and dark word vomit (aka "poetry").
