Monday Morning Aural Sex: 2020-04-27 (Osmium-20: The Mutation Edition)
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Sometime in 2019, a plague spread across humanity: the plague of Osmium-X. The few human beings spared its devastation with only shreds of their former lives have nomadically wandered through the wasteland for what feels like generations. Without any competent leadership, without any social safety nets, many tribes turned to warfare for survival. Tribes were conquered for their toilet paper and their hand sanitizer, the women were marginalized, the men were converted to Kult 45, and the children were forced onto assembly lines to make iPhones. Many despaired for the America they used to know, failing to acknowledge the fatal mistake they made at the primary polls in 2016, and again in 2020.
Now, in 2020, a new plague has emerged. The scientist who discovered it, known only by the peculiar binary sequence 00111111, has dubbed this new plague Osmium-20. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t fuckin’ know. I guess that’s how motherfuckers name shit now. Fuck outta here with your questions, bitch.” News of this plague would have been the last straw for many, but it was revealed that this would include not only metal, but hardstyle, hardcore, dubstep, breakcore and basically anything you can bang your fuckin’ head to. Many myopic conspiracy theorists claimed that no true Osmium edition could contain such so-called impurities, claiming that metal is somehow an only child. Ladies and gentlemen of the planet formerly known as Earth, metal has many siblings, and they can be even heavier than their metal ancestors.
This new plague, this Osmium-20, has proven effective against such other pernicious viruses as elitism, ignorance, and apathy. This scientist… I’m being told to just fuckin’ call him Double-O. Anyway, this scientist is now dispersing this plague across whatever’s left of these states, united in name alone. From somewhere in the former United States, he alone fights through the fire and flames for the soul of humanity, or some other epic power metal shit like that.
Yes! That’s correct! We have here over four and a half fucking hours of Osmium to absorb into our thick fuckin’ heads! The majority of it is brand fuckin’ new, too! The shit that isn’t is shit you mighta missed, but deserves someone else’s attention besides my fuckin’ own, so there. You know the fuckin’ drill by now. By the way, no one better snitch on me to Metallica, ‘cause then I’ll owe ‘em each a jet or a yacht or a new set of golf pants or some shit. Without any further muthafuckin’, cocksuckin’, cuntlickin’, anusticklin’ ado…

*long inhale* Perverts? Oh, hey! The fuck? How long you been there?! Shiiiit, sneakin’ up on a muthafucka like that. So, today’s a special day. I don’t need to explain shit to y’all, but for the older folk in the audience, we’re all especially big fans of the number four-hundred and twenty. Somethin’ about those numbers just speaks to us. Don’t worry, it’s just a bunch of freaks bein’ weird. Go back to your garden party, hehe.
Anyway, many of us are gonna have a good day today, which is ever so desperately overdue. I hope this edition provides a lovely soundtrack to your extracurricular activities in regards to vegetables. Some of the tracks were included to fuck with ya in the middle of the haze. I hope they bring a chuckle or seven, especially the C & C Music Factory track I threw in. In case you might be wondering why that name sounds familiar, it’s because those guys wrote this fuckin’ earworm from way back…
Yeah, that’s right. The original jock jammers actually have a song about vegetables. That fact filled me with great mirth, and I hope it fills you too with similar levels of mirth, amusement, and bewildering, otherworldly ecstasy. Anyway, nothin’ else needs sayin’ right now, except that as usual, I’m willin’ to explain any specific track inclusions if anyone (out of the wild fuckin’ blue) happens to be curious, soooooooo YOOOOOOOJJJJJJJNNNNNEEEEEE!

Monday Morning Aural Sex: 2020-04-13 (Entranced Edition Vol. 5)
Monday Apr 13, 2020
Monday Apr 13, 2020
Up what’s, ersfuck? Lewcome to the 5th installment of the Entranced Edition of Monday Morning muthafuckin’ Aural Sex! Guess what the fuck we’ll be hearing this week? Can ya? Can you decipher the boundlessly brilliant cleverness I displayed with that title?! Hmm?!?! That’s right, we’ll be hearing the most radio-friendly country jams one could ever scratch one’s nuts or noni to. And in other news, that’s a total fuckin’ lie. We’ve got trance, trance, and more (guess fuckin’ what?) trance! It’s mostly psytrance, progressive and poppier stuff (aka “dance”). I don’t plumb the depths of dance music all too often ‘cause most of it is just another EDM-ish flavor of pop, but there are a few gems scattered across the doody mountain.
As you may have noticed if you checked out the tracklist before you hit play, we’ve got a number of absolute classic tracks on this bitch. I was feelin’ nostalgic, okay? Fuckin’ sue me. We’ve got a bunch of new shit to look forward to, too. Shit that came out within the past month or two. There are also a handful of tracks that I’ve played on past Entranced editions along with some random gems hidden in my old Miscellaneous Fucktacularity editions from late 2014-early 2015. I know I’ve frequently gone on and on about the virtues of discovering new stuff, and it’s absolutely true, but the older stuff that I pick often deserves more than one solitary appearance on a random fuckhead’s podcast that you’ll never listen to.
I should also mention that I ventured into futurepop and synthwave territory for some of these picks. Frankly, I think they’re more alike than different, and that statement applies to music far and wide. It’s all there because it makes someone feel something, and as I’ve frequently said, genres are a fine way to gain an introductory understanding to certain types of music. When you listen to more and more of it, the lines blur, your horizons broaden, and life itself gets more fulfilling. Shit, music is one of the primary reasons I continue to draw breath on this planet, and I’m sure that’s true of many of you perverts, as well. Speaking of which, I have to say a couple more specific things about these tracks:
1. The track, “World Destruction,” by Chemical Mafia is actually a psytrance cover, and Chemical Mafia itself was just sort of a catchall name that Chemical Crew came up with to coincide with a sole compilation release called Mafia… I dunno. The label was full of awesome Israeli psytrance artists, but it’s been defunct since 2008. Anyway, the original World Destruction track came out in 1984, it was done by a group named Time Zone headed by Afrika Bambaataa, and it featured Johnny “Rotten” Lydon on vocals. The original’s been featured on shows like The Sopranos and Mr. Robot, and I think it was in the movie Bio-Dome, too. Awesome shit, awesome lyrics, check that shit the fuck out.
2. “Tears,” by BeForU is a track that I first heard on the rhythm game Dance Dance Revolution. BeForU was a Japanese pop group whose tracks were prominently featured in a slew of rhythm games developed by Bemani including Pop’n Music, Guitar Freaks, Drummania, beatmania, beatmania IIDX, and of course, Dance Dance Revolution. Interestingly enough, BeForU was produced by Naoki Maeda, who also contributed heavily to the Bemani songscape under myriad aliases. Seriously, the dude has like 20 or more at least. Same with his American counterpart, Kyle Ward, but I digress. The Tears track is credited to an artist named EK, which is an alias of Noria Shiraishi, one of the three original members of BeForU. I’ve loved just about every Noria track I’ve heard over the years, and unfortunately it seems that she’s no longer making music, so whatever’s there is all there is. Ah well. Sometimes shit just be like that.
3. The track called Colors (InPhase Mix) by dj TAKA, that’s another track that hardercore fans of the Bemani rhythm games will likely recognize. That remix was done by TaQ, another prominent artist in the Bemani games, though sadly not so much after 2010. It sucks that rhythm games fell so far out of style, ‘cause the music is still just as awesome as when I first heard it. I guess no game developer can sustain themselves solely on the revenue received from purely hardcore fans, and the casual, tourist gamers already had their fun, and they’re over it all now. I think the rhythm game trend suffered from oversaturation of the market, and most people just lost interest after shit got too complex. Again, ah well. Sometimes shit just be like that.
4. DHT, the same one-hit-wonder group who did a cover of the 80s track, “Listen To Your Heart,” by Roxette (which is on this edition, by the fucking way… the cover, not the original), they also did a track called, “Depressed.” That one’s waaaay down on the list, and only bearable for those of you willing to go to a dark place. The track is absolutely beautiful, but the lyrics are haunting, and I can relate far too fuckin’ well. I think it was brave of this group to do a track like that, tackling such serious subject matter on what was otherwise basically just a pop/dance album. Anyway, listen to it if you want. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and it reminds me of a certain someone whom I continue to miss dearly.
5. The track called, “Ievan Polkka,” by Loituma (and remixed by Basshunter) was included ‘cause goddamn, it just puts me in such a great mood. It’s damn near impossible to be depressed during that track ‘cause it’s so fuckin’ goofy and catchy. Most of you probably know it from the Leekspin meme, so you’ll probably dig the fuck and/or shit out of Basshunter’s version. I played it a few years ago on a Pervert Appreciation edition for my buddy Josh from LA. Tacos, tacos, tacos, fuckin’ Runyon Canyon, tacos, tacos, fuckin’ Toyota Prius.
Anyway, that’s about all the jawing I can think to do right now, so I’ma halt so we can commence ze yojne!

What’s up, perverts?! Welcome to the Quarantine’n’Chill: Decembuary 33rd Edition! Naturally, by that title and by the previous two podcasts, you can expect another random fuckin’ conglomeration of awesome fuckin’ shit that you should listen to if you’re smart. How y’all doing with this motherfucking quarantine shit, eh? I’m still anxiety-ridden as 10 fucks in a 1 fuck capacity lunar excursion module. Looking at the fuckin’ news these days has me shook pretty much 24/7. We’re livin’ in fuckin’ Wackyland, perverts, and it’s no goddamn fun.
Know what, though? I’m gonna refrain from going too much farther into it. I’ve been noticing a lot of people on my social media posting lots of other kinds of stuff other than current events, almost to points where I wonder if they’re aware of what’s going on at all, but I see the merit in it. There’s a lot of understandable despair going around the world, especially in this country, and there’s not a lot any of us can do about our current circumstances with the exception of volunteering or something. That, or continuing to work from home. I genuinely hope you’re all paying at least some attention to news and/or social media outlets so you can get some sort of accurate information about this virus. By that, I mean cross-reference your shit before calling it accurate. That’s one of the worst viruses of our time, too: fuckin’ mis- and disinformation. Everyone’s fuckin’ credibility is questionable nowadays.
To be fair… It’s been largely questionable for many decades now. Likely millenia, but there’s a far greater global population now, and it’s really fuckin’ hard to sift through the noise to get to some sort of truth. Also, I don’t blame any of you for not listening to my podcasts right now. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven’t listened to the entirety of any of my editions that I’ve posted since I stopped working on March 13th. I usually listen to them when I’m driving, and what with all the news, Netflix, the Michael Moore podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, and various other shit I’ve been steadily going through, I’ve either been forgetting and/or not utilizing my time as efficiently as I should be. Anyway, this podcast has a few tracks I want to talk about:
1. The track by Lindemann called Knebel, oh my fucking god, that uncensored video is an experience. The song is an experience too, but if you’re feeling brave, look up the fuckin’ uncensored video on Pornhub. The track is half Americana and half standard Rammstein industrial-metal fare. Holy fuck, the transition between the two genres is explosive. You’ll notice it even if you’re listening to this in the background.
2. The Die Antwoord song is another track off their new album HOUSE OF ZEF. It’s got a very different feel to it than 9/10ths of their catalog. Very interesting, and I hope y’all motherfuckers agree.
3. I included the Animal Crossing song for all my friends using this time to delve into that new installment. I’m not into it myself, but the song is pretty cool. I’ve played a couple remixes from the game on previous podcasts, actually.
4. The Mega Ran track called Wily’s Revenge, if y’all don’t know Mega Ran, he’s a nerdcore artist and he put out an entire album of hip-hop based on the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack and story. This one’s about Mega Man, which ought to be fuckin’ obvious. Pretty awesome shit, so keep your ears peeled.
5. The Red Paintings is an Australian rock band that paints people during their live show. I’ve seen them twice, and they were fuckin’ phenomenal both times. They did by far the best version of Tears for Fears highly emotional song, “Mad World,” that I’ve ever heard. The Gary Jules version at the end of Donnie Darko is great and all, but The Red Paintings version is even more beautiful. You owe it to yourself to look it up and love it like I do.
6. Skrape is a nü-metal band that barely performed anywhere during the brief duration of their career. Their album cover for New Killer America was actually something that grossed out a number of people for just being a close-up of an extremely filthy thumbnail or something. Understandable, of course. Pretty cool music for what’s basically a very tired (not to mention retired) genre, in my opinion.
7. Erra and Veil of Maya are new discoveries of mine, and pretty damn awesome metal, if you ask me. Also, the Rob Scallon track is delightfully bizarre in that it’s sort of a metal/swing-jazz hybrid. Keep your ears wide open for that stuff if you can dig it.
8. Astral Projection is a psytrance group, short for psychedelic trance. Hopefully you perverts already knew that. I’m not sure if there are any significant distinctions, but I’ve heard the word Goa used to describe the same stuff. I dunno. Anyway, Astral Projection was the first psytrance artist I discovered, and some of my all-time favorite tracks in the genre are theirs, especially the 13-minute long Dancing Galaxy (Ambient Mix). That shit is fantastic if you’re lookin’ to drift the fuck away. This People Can Fly track, (first of all, it’s a remix I hadn’t heard before) the samples in it are David Duchovny of X-Files and Californication fame. It’s from a (probably) lesser known movie he did with Brad Pitt called Kalifornia. The movie was interesting enough, I suppose, but it wasn’t hugely memorable. Maybe I need to give it another watch.
9. The rest are mostly just random finds, some from past podcasts, some from soundtracks of games and movies I haven’t seen or played in ages that’ll fuck with you hard if those games/movies are nostalgic for you, too. As usual, I’m saving the more somber stuff for the end, so nobody starts off their fuckin’ Mondays depressed as fuck. It’s all fucktacularly magnificent Aural Sex though, and should be appreciated as such.
All that said and done did, there’s a yojne coming…
It’s not here yet…
It’s almost here.
It’s HERE!
No, wait…
Yes, now! Fuckin’ yojne!!!
