Heyyyyy perverrrrrts! Tonight, we've got quite a pairing. Tonight, we've got the Mike Patton/Dan The Automator trip-hop project Lovage with their debut (and only) album, Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By. The album's title is by no means a misnomer, although it works a lot better if you're both into trip-hop and/or Mike Patton. The particularly notable tracks on this album are Anger Management, To Catch A Thief, Strangers On A Train, Sex (I'm A), Book Of The Month and finally, Archie & Veronica. Definitely keep your tender earholes open wide for those gems. After that, we've got Ella Fitzgerald, another jazz diva on par with Billie Holiday, with the album "Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book." This album is great for those of you familiar with old Broadway musicals. It's actually a triple album, but I only included the first due to monthly upload space constraints. That, and I think three albums worth of Gershwin music is a bit... too much.My favorite track on there is Someone To Watch Over Me. Some of you might be familiar with that song from other sources.Anyway, here are the blogs I wrote about these two albums:http://tinyurl.com/20150206blogLovagehttp://tinyurl.com/20150206blogEFyooooooOOOOJJJJNEEEEE!!!01 Lovage - Ladies Love Chest Rockwell (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:00:00]02 Lovage - Pit Stop (Take Me Home) (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:01:17]03 Lovage - Anger Management (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:05:12]04 Lovage - Everyone Has A Summer (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:09:29]05 Lovage - To Catch A Thief (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:13:45]06 Lovage - Lies And Alibis (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:17:01]07 Lovage - Herbs, Good Hygiene And Socks (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:20:17]08 Lovage - Book Of The Month (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:22:11]09 Lovage - Lifeboat (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:26:40]10 Lovage - Strangers On A Train (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:31:25]11 Lovage - Lovage (Love That Lovage, Baby) (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:36:02]12 Lovage - Sex (I’m A) (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:37:06]13 Lovage - Koala’s Lament (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:43:26]14 Lovage - Tea Time With Maseo (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:47:19]15 Lovage - Stroker Ace (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:48:58]16 Lovage - Archie & Veronica (from Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By) [00:53:27]17 Ella Fitzgerald - Sam And Delilah (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [00:59:33]18 Ella Fitzgerald - But Not For Me (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:02:49]19 Ella Fitzgerald - My One And Only (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:06:22]20 Ella Fitzgerald - Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:08:59]21 Ella Fitzgerald - Beginner’s Luck (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:13:27]22 Ella Fitzgerald - Oh, Lady Be Good (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:16:36]23 Ella Fitzgerald - Nice Work If You Can Get It (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:20:36]24 Ella Fitzgerald - Things Are Looking Up (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:24:08]25 Ella Fitzgerald - Just Another Rhumba (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:27:13]26 Ella Fitzgerald - How Long Has This Been Going On (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:32:48]27 Ella Fitzgerald - ’S Wonderful (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:36:33]28 Ella Fitzgerald - The Man I Love (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:40:04]29 Ella Fitzgerald - That Certain Feeling (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:43:56]30 Ella Fitzgerald - By Strauss (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:47:00]31 Ella Fitzgerald - Someone To Watch Over Me (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:49:31]32 Ella Fitzgerald - The Real American Folk Song (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:54:05]33 Ella Fitzgerald - Who Cares (from Sings The George & Ira Gershwin Song Book) [01:57:49]

Jello Biafra from the Dead Kennedys and Al Jourgensen from Ministry in a band together?! Yes please! I've loved both of those guys and those bands for many years, and this band Lard is the best of both worlds. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a weak track on this album. Particularly notable ones are Forkboy, Mate Spawn & Die and I Am Your Clock. The latter of which has some hilarious and painfully true lyrics. The other album for today is Ramblin' Jack Elliott's "Jack Takes The Floor." If you're a fan of Bob Dylan, you'll probably dig this album. I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Dylan was inspired by this guy. Very old-timey folk music, which can be awesome if you're in the mood.Anyway, here are the blogs I wrote about these albums:http://tinyurl.com/20150204blogLardhttp://tinyurl.com/20150204blogRJEYou should know what to do by now......no?Come on...*sigh*YOJNE!!!!!01 Lard - Forkboy (from The Last Temptation of Reid) [00:00:00]02 Lard - Pineapple Face (from The Last Temptation of Reid) [00:03:53]03 Lard - Mate Spawn & Die (from The Last Temptation of Reid) [00:10:30]04 Lard - Drug Raid At 4 AM (from The Last Temptation of Reid) [00:15:25]05 Lard - Can God Fill Teeth? 1,001 Albums: Album 0016: Behemoth - Evangelion
Tuesday Feb 03, 2015
Tuesday Feb 03, 2015
Goooood evening, perverts! Today I’ve got only one album for you in order to keep the album numbers on both lists consistent with each other. Today, we’ve got Behemoth’s “Evangelion.” This is probably one of very few black metal albums that will make it onto my personal list. Why? Because many of the black metal albums I’ve attempted to enjoy sound like each instrument was recorded simultaneously with one cheap Radioshack microphone in a bathroom with all the faders on the mixing board set to the same level (i.e. unity gain, or “0”). These supposedly “mixed” albums sound so abysmal (and not in a good way, the way you’d imagine a black metal album should sound), that I really just can’t deal with them. The most frustrating thing is… I REALLY WANT TO FUCKING LIKE THEM! Black metal, in my opinion, is intriguing as a genre. Some of the guys write some great lyrics. Not that you’d be able to understand them, since not only are the vocals usually buried like a corpse in the mix (hehe, so “black” of me to put it that way, eh?), but if they manage to rise a little bit above the rest of the instruments, the vocalist sounds something like “ghhhhhhh ughhhhh dhhh fhhh uhhhhh.”There you are, in the middle of the pentagram you made with pig’s blood in a cemetery, ready to stab a severed goat’s head on the altar your mom bought you for Xmas. Your buddy turns up the volume on the portable radio you brought, and you can’t even understand the fucking words! And you can’t go back home and steal your mom’s Carpenters tapes. Satan doesn’t like The Carpenters… well, maybe he does, actually.Anyway, yeah, frustrating. This album, however, is not. The vocals still aren’t particularly understandable, but at least you can distinguish between them and the distorted guitars (which are both around the same frequencies in the spectrum of human hearing, by the way). One thing I especially love are the drums. The engineer(s) really did well on the drums. Aside from the album, I love how the singer, Nergal, came out and said he can’t understand how a metal musician or fan can be a Christian. I like some metal bands who’ve identified themselves as Christian, but it’s because their lyrics aren’t dripping with the usual nonsense you’d hear at a Sunday church service. When Dave Mustaine became a born again Christian, I was done with Megadeth. Still am. I can barely listen to their older stuff without being disappointed by remembering what they’re like now. Anyway, fuck Megadeth, or at least, fuck Dave Mustaine. If you have some time, check out some of Behemoth’s music videos on YouTube. Oh, and especially check out the uncensored video for the single, “Ov Fire And The Void,” where the band tears off the wings of an angel and eats them:Beautiful. :-)Here’s the blog I wrote about the album:http://tinyurl.com/20150203blogYOOOOOOJNEEEEEE!01 Behemoth - Daimonos (from Evangelion) [00:00:00]02 Behemoth - Shemhamforash (from Evangelion) [00:05:13]

What’s up, perverts?! Are all you East coasters out there enjoying the snow like I am? Hehe, anyway, welcome to the 18th fucktastically fucktacular edition of Miscellaneous Fucktacularity and the 16th album of the official 1,001 Albums list: Billie Holiday’s “Lady In Satin.” If any of you are wondering how we got from the 9th album of my 1,001 list to the 16th of the official list in the span of a week, maybe you should open your fuckin’ eyes and ears a little wider ‘cause I’ve been posting albums from both lists every day since the last Monday WTF Aural Sex. “Whaaaat?! Holy fuck, I’m so behind! How am I ever going to catch up?! *sigh* I should just end it now, shouldn’t I? What else do I have to live for now that I’m 14 albums behind?” Ssshhh… ssshhh… It’s ok, sweetie baby deary. I’m sure you have something else to live for besides this silly little podcast and my silly little 1,001 Albums projects. Masturbation, for example. Why would you want to check out early, when you can give yourself orgasms pretty much whenever the fuck you want? If you’re not that into masturbation, well… try again. It’s like any other skill: it takes practice to get really good.Anyway, yeah, Billie Holiday. If you’re unfamiliar with her work, prepare your eager fuckin’ earholes for a really good time. Honestly, I can’t imagine her having made a bad album. I haven’t heard them all yet, but what I have heard is fuckin’ beautiful. Like I told my Koala a day or two ago, Billie Holiday is most likely an inspiration for singers like Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Free Dominguez of Kidneythieves, Lana Del Rey, etc. Pretty much any soulful female singer owes it to herself to pay tribute to Billie Holiday. Here’s the blog I wrote on the album:http://tinyurl.com/20150202blogBHAaaaaaaaannnnnddddd…yojne.01 Cookie Monsta - You Can Do It (from Me Want Cookie EP) [00:01:33]02 Virtual Riot - We’re Not Alone (from Disciple Recordings #BeatportDecade Dubstep) [00:04:53]03 Jarren Benton - Billion Bucks (feat. *sigh* Another album like Sabu’s “Palo Congo.” Fortunately, we’re almost completely out of salsa territory. I think there’s a prerequisite for being able to enjoy music like this. I think it’s a die hard affinity for hot weather, beaches, basically a bizarre derivation of pleasure from situations that make me irritated and uncomfortable. I don’t know. I really can’t relate. Maybe I just haven’t had an experience in my life that was able to break salsa music into my heart.
Anyway, the album I’m talking about is Tito Puente’s “Dance Mania Vol. 1.” After this album, I think we’re home free. The other album for today is the E.P.I.C. Infected Mushroom album, Vicious Delicious. I’ve drawn from this album for Monday Morning Aural Sex many, many times. This album is far more accessible than the majority of their purely Psytrance/Goa releases. By accessible, I mean it’s more likely to appeal to people who don’t often step outside their comfort zone (or get off the couch, as appropriate to the phrase, “couch music”).
What makes Vicious Delicious even better, in my opinion, are the numerous tracks from it released for Stepmania (a Dance Dance Revolution/In The Groove simulator for PC/Mac). Whoever made the step charts to the songs I love playing, my hat’s off to you.
Anyway, here are the blogs I wrote for these albums:
