Monday Morning Aural Sex: 2013-09-23 (Still Glad To Be Single Edition)
Monday Sep 23, 2013
Monday Sep 23, 2013
Hahahahahaha!!! Welcome motherfuckers and motherfuckerettes to another Monday and another Monday Morning Aural Sex: The Still Glad To Be Single Edition! Obviously, my friends and fellow perverts who are in committed relationships will probably skip this one, but fuck it. I've been single for about a year and a half now, and honestly, I still get giddy about it. Why, you might ask? Well, I'll tell ya. When I'm going about my evenings, enjoying the peace of the night, the lack of people buzzing around, the almost complete silence save for crickets and such, I get giddy knowing that there's nobody around my vicinity to spoil it. There's nobody around to argue with me about anything, nobody around to screech at me about things I'm doing or not doing, nobody around to make me feel like a week-past-flushed turd.
I can listen to whatever music I want, watch whatever movies I want, play whatever video games I want, read whatever books I want, and especially, indulge in any creative projects I want without having to consider anyone else's often narrow-minded opinions. I can drive with the windows down in 40-50 degree weather, feeling the cold wind send chills throughout my body, breathing it in and feeling my lungs contract. Even better, I can run the air conditioner in my room at whatever-the-fuck temperature I want down to 60 degrees with no one to complain and make me feel bad that they're cold. I have no need to consider for a second what anyone else might be thinking about me, whether they're still attracted to me, whether I should be more or less romantic, etc.
I also have no need to worry about growing bored of anyone (and, at the risk of sounding pretentious, I do grow bored of most people), and I can do whatever I want sexually without needing to clear it with anyone or be sneaky about it. I absolutely cherish the clarity of the unchained mind that I only find when I'm single. I absolutely cherish the freedoms I just described. I always have, but yet I've compromised them time and time again for the sake of trying to make committed relationships coincide with the life I enjoy living on my own. I'm not saying the two things are absolutely mutually exclusive, but being single means no compromises. At least, none like you make in relationships.
So yes, I still get giddy about it, because (fortunately or unfortunately) I have a pretty solid memory, and I recall what my life was like when I tried to be someone's boyfriend and/or "husband." I love myself and I love my life, and all that other shit brings far too much chaos into it for me to consider it worthwhile anymore. I could go on and on, and I certainly have over the past year to anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in my vicinity when I went off on my tangents, but we should get to this fucking aural sex already! There's gonna be a lot of harsh and bitter music in this edition, but honestly, I included stuff like that to illustrate some of how I felt in past relationships. The overall tone of this edition, to me anyway, is one of utter joy and inner peace, and those things include maniacal homicidal fantasies, acerbic satire of social norms and dark word vomit (aka "poetry"). So motherfuckers and motherfuckerettes, whether you're in a relationship or not, I hope you are enjoying your lives and I definitely hope you yojne the fuck outta this shit right here.

AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Welcome, perverts, to another Monday, another Monday Morning Aural Sex, and another installment in the All-Star Series: the motherfucking Henry Rollins Edition! This one was one I had in mind when I first came up with the idea to do the All-Star Series in the first place. Lemme tell ya a bit about this guy, in case you're unfamiliar with his work: He's the former singer for one of the biggest American punk bands of the 80s, Black Flag. He formed his own band, Rollins Band, after Black Flag disbanded. He now tours the world almost relentlessly doing often comedic spoken word. He's released, produced and/or performed on well over 100 albums and compilations. He's written and published (through his own 2.13.61 company) over 50 books. He's appeared in something like 150 films, live show specials and documentaries, including the recent Napster documentary called Downloaded. He's had two of his own TV shows (as far as I know), and has been featured on countless other TV shows. He's had his own weekly radio show called Harmony In My Head since 2004. He's a columnist for LA Weekly, he delved into photography for one of his most recent books called "Occupants," and has done charity and volunteer work for Drop In The Bucket and the USO. All the things I've mentioned are a mere snapshot of his career. The full scope is absolutely staggering.
My introduction to Henry was back in the early 90s when the Rollins Band song, "Liar" came on Beavis & Butthead. Honestly, Henry scared the shit out of me! Anyone who's seen that video would probably understand that. Anyway, I encountered his name through various mediums for the next 10 years or so, but I didn't gain a proper appreciation of his work until around 2007. Any of you who've known me for a while probably know that the early half of '07 was one of the absolute shittiest times of my life. I think sometime after my birthday that year was when I started delving into Henry's spoken word and books of poetry. Let me tell ya, perverts, Henry's got some really dark material, but he's also got a lot of really positive and motivational material as well. Hearing certain spoken word bits of his felt like a breath of fresh air amidst a tremendously toxic environment. Anyway, I enjoyed that spoken word and poetry so much that I went back and gave the Rollins Band albums another listen. My taste in music had matured quite a lot since I first heard it, so pretty much all of it appealed to me instantaneously. After that, I delved into Black Flag, his radio show, his TV show, and numerous other things he's done. Now, I admire and respect him on a level that's shared by very, very few of the thousands of people/artists I've encountered and whose work I've enjoyed throughout my 29 years on this planet. With this edition, my greatest hope is to inspire you, perverts, to delve into this man's work. If you do, I sincerely hope you yojne it as thoroughly as I do. Soooo, let's get this shit rollin'!

Monday Sep 09, 2013
Welcome, dearest perverts, to another mediocre Monday on the horrendously tedious timeline of our mediocre lives. This week's Monday Morning Aural Sex is a celebration of mediocrity as in the case of someone looking at fireworks going off in the sky and saying… Yay. As you listen to the tepid musical selections in this podcast, be sure to secure your mind with thoughts of your stable occupation, your stable home with its stable bills, your stable little family and your generally stable little life. Kick back and ponder your midlife crisis. Take solace in the embrace of religion and the immediate, superficial comforts of our thriving consumer culture. All of the aforementioned suggestions work especially well for white people, so if you're white, congratulations. Smile, and enjoy…
Pphh, haha. Yeah fucking right! Fuck mediocrity as thoroughly, aggressively and consistently as anything can be fucked. Stability is, for the most part, an illusion that can dissolve without warning; a card castle that can and likely will collapse with even the slightest breath in its direction. Midlife crises are for boring people who didn't do enough with their youth. Religion is a joke that seldom ever fails to make me laugh; our consumer culture is a joke, too, but not quite as laughable as religion; and white people, well, it's a bit too broad of a subject to make many particularly accurate statements, but it's pretty amusing and/or sad that just the phrase "white people," evokes far more negative connotations than positive ones. I say fuck all that. Obviously, I can't fuck being white, 'cause I'm white, and I wouldn't want to change my skin color with anything but tattoos. But fuck all that other shit. I say live loudly and proudly, 'cause you've got your entire death to be silent and inhibited. So, while I step down off this tiny little soapbox, I hope you all will take my words into consideration and I especially hope you yojne the fuck out of this edition. Let's go!

Happy Monday, my dearest perverts! Welcome to another absolutely, exquisitely enthralling edition of Monday Morning Aural Sex! This week, I'm kicking off a new series of pervert appreciation podcasts with the On The Same Paige Edition. Some of you perverts might know my dear friend Paige Six. She's been a pretty regular fan for some time now. She often shares my podcasts on her timeline, she sometimes messages me about specific songs she enjoyed, and she's even proposed some new ideas for this podcast. For these reasons and two others, I thought she'd be a good choice to kick off this series. The other two reasons? 1: She's been going through a pretty rough time as of late, and I thought this might serve to lift her spirits a bit. 2: She's an intelligent, articulate, attractive gamer girl who not only plays games, but writes about them. I suppose that last "reason" was more like 6 reasons, but whatever. If you want to check out some of her writing, by the way, look her up on Google under Coiled Rose Gaming. Or, you can find some of her other work through Aggressive Comix, Another Castle, Examiner.com and/or Gamesoul Online. Oh, and apropos of previous editions where I had guest hosts, I know some of you might be wondering why this series is even a thing. Well, it's something that I put together on my own as a surprise, thus how future editions of this series will be as well. So, without any further ado, lemme just locate the yojne button… ah, here it is. Yojne!
