Monday Morning Aural Sex: 2014-10-13 (All-Star Series: Al Jourgensen Edition / 1001 Albums: Album 0003 - Louvin Brothers - Tragic Songs of Life)

Emoclew, sreckufrehtom, to another installment of the All-Star Series, the Al Jourgensen Edition, and the third album of the 1001 Albums You “Must” Hear Before You Die.  First, lemme talk about Uncle Al.  I first saw Ministry’s video for Just One Fix on Beavis & Butthead like, 20 years ago, and I’ve been a huge fan ever since.  I’ve seen them a handful of times and Jesus H. Cum-Gargling Christ did they put on a fantastic show.  These guys have been around for over 30 years and even though they went on hiatus around 2008, they came back with two new albums and tours in support of them.  However, now that long-time guitarist Mike Scaccia has died, Al has said that they won’t be making any new Ministry albums.  So, perverts, if you somehow get a chance to see them live, do it before they don’t tour anymore.  If you had a chance and you passed it up, SHAME ON YOU! 

Anyway, Al is also a producer and has been in a few other bands like Pailhead, 1000 Homo DJs, Lard, Revolting Cocks (or RevCo), Buck Satan, etc.  He’s a phenomenal vocalist and I think you’ll agree after listening to this edition that Ministry is one of the all-time greatest metal bands ever.

I often have an exceptionally difficult time finding anything to appreciate in country music, but maybe some of you perverts might feel differently.  One thing I can say for it is that it’s older country, unlike the completely vacant bullshit that’s played on country radio stations nowadays.  One country artist I do appreciate a lot is Johnny Cash, and I’m sure there are many people like me who, in a genre that’s bogged down by vapid nonsense like Achey Breaky Heart, can only really claim to appreciate him.

Anyway, I hope you all yojne the living fuck out of the Al Jourgensen Edition and… maybe… possibly find something to yojne in the Louvin Brothers album at the end.
