F-U-C-K-muthafuckin’-tacular Classics Edition Vol. 3, muthafuckaaaas! Oh my me and he and she and I and you and we am all the universe, do I have a podcast in store for us all today. This is a compilation of some of my favorite tracks from my earliest podcasts. For any of y’all who enjoy these, oh man, I could keep goin’ with these editions for quite a while yet. I mean, I could easily keep auto-cannibalizing until I hang up my headphones. The amount of fucktacularity that’s been prominently featured on this podcast over the years is fuckin’ staggering, and it will no doubt continue until it simply cannot anymore. Either that, or I just put it down again like I did in 2015 and between ’16-’19. Jesus fuck, I’ve actually been doing this for 10 years, hiatuses notwithstanding. Furry eel though, my very first podcast was uploaded on January 30th of 2012. That first edition didn’t have any theme, or even a title, and I didn’t even get a Podbean account until the next week after Soundcloud ousted me and I had to find somewhere else to host this.

 

Also, that first edition was my first Flashback Edition as well, and will eventually be flashed back to yet again ‘cause I had to delete it to make room for other editions. Let’s just say that Podbean had a different way of doing things back then, and I’m very glad they switched it up. Any-fuckin’-way, 10 fuckin’ years. Feels about right, frankly. The past decade has been exhausting beyond comprehension for me, and I have little reason to doubt the next one will be even more so, but I’ll keep putting one foot in front of another so long as I have a reason to do so. Shit, I might even keep on without a reason just to see if another emerges. If one doesn’t emerge, perhaps I’ll create one. The possibilities are fuckin’ endless, right? Sure, whatever, ya fuckin’ hippie.

 

Lemme vomit some verbiage at ya for a sec. There are two tracks on here by an artist named D-MonyK. I’m almost 100% certain that this podcast is literally the only place you’ll hear them. Dude seems to have completely disappeared off the internet, or else didn’t have much of a presence there as D-MonyK in the first place. Anyway, I have a special place in my heart for his stuff ‘cause he’s the guy who gave me my lower lip spikes back in 2-thousand-fuckin’-5. He was doin’ light body mod stuff out of his apartment. Is that illegal? Anyway, my friend Bekah and I (she introduced us) got some stuff pierced to help him pay his bills, and shit, I’ve loved my mods every day since. This edition is actually chock the fuck full of some classic fuckin’ aggro EDM between breakcore, hardstyle, speedcore, and whatever the fuck Defrag and Otto Von Schirach are. Some of these dudes are basically their own genre, which is fuckin’ awesome to me. Not even like it’s particularly difficult ‘cause all you have to do is produce a broad range of stuff, but to be as fuckin’ excellent at it all as these guys are? My utmost fuckin’ respect.

 

Moving on, lots of phenomenal fuckin’ metal in this. Some of these songs have been favorites of mine since the early fuckin’ 90s before I was even able to cream my jeans, before some of my best friends were even born. That’s right, muthafuckas, I’m an elder millenial, get off me. The live Metallica cover of Anti-Nowhere League’s, “So What,” was a huge delight in my childhood, and remains such throughout my so-called adulthood. I’d never heard anyone say such so-called profanity before, since I’d only gotten into fuckin’ Jefferson Starship, Vanilla Ice, Michael Jackson and shit like that up to that point. My parents bought me the Live Shit: Binge and Purge boxset for Xmas that year, and they actually asked me, “So that’s all the Metallica you’ll ever need, right? You’ve got it all now?” It’s difficult to imagine them actually being serious about that, but I wouldn’t put it past them. Besides, comprehensive discography boxsets definitely exist, and maybe they thought that’s what they were getting me.

 

This edition also features the very first song I ever assembled. I say assembled ‘cause it’s all premade loops & samples. Actually took me all fuckin’ month to get it exactly the way I wanted it, and I would likely never do a track all premade like that again unless I was feeling exceptionally lazy or I was going for something intentional for whatever reason. Anyway, moving on, be sure to listen the fuck up during the longer, 9-minute-plus tracks. Lye by Mistake, Venetian Snares and Astral Projection all deserve your attention in my opinion, and I sincerely hope you’ll agree. Actually, I just realized the Astral Projection track is a significantly shorter cut for the compilation I took it from. The original is over 13 minutes long, but both are plenty fucktacular. I included a Slayer track because, well, I don’t have it in me to exclude a track as fuckin’ punishing as Disciple from my repertoire even if Tom Arraya’s politics are… unenlightened at best. Still tickles the fuck out of me that the dude’s actually Catholic, talkin’ ‘bout “god hates us all,” and then saying, “god doesn’t hate anyone.”

 

Deacon Boombastardizer, I haven’t heard anything from that dude in well over a decade, but I also haven’t searched all too extensively. That might be another case where this podcast is literally the only place to find his stuff. Same might be true of Daiquiri and is deeeefinitely true of Wait Until Dark all the way at the end. The former is a Canadian group that I haven’t heard a peep from since 2005, but they might still be active; I’m not sure. Wait Until Dark is a band I did photography for way back in the day ‘cause I worked with the guitarist at CD World even wayer back in the day. Still love the fuck out of the song I included, and it’s got a lovely surprise at the end. I think it’s a fitting conclusion to this epic fuckin’ collection right here.

 

Anyway, I could go on and on, but we should actually listen to the music at some point. I know I’m gonna yojne the ever-loving fuck out of this, and I hope y’all do as well.
